Bounce (bounce.duet.rocks) is a small, private, invite-only app for sharing a band's audio recordings. This page explains what Bounce stores, why, and who can see it.

What Bounce stores

  • From your Google account: your name and email address, used only to sign you in and to show other members of your spaces who you are. Bounce doesn't access your Gmail, Drive, contacts, or any other Google data.
  • Invitations: the email addresses members invite, so those people can sign in.
  • Your recordings: the audio files you add, converted copies made when someone downloads a different format, and details about each file (name, format, size, who added it, and when).

Who can see it

Everything in a space is visible to that space's members, and to nobody else. Members can see each other's names and email addresses. Files are never public: every download uses a short-lived private link that only works for members.

Bounce doesn't sell or share your information, show ads, or use tracking or analytics tools.

Where it's kept

Bounce runs on a few services that store or process data on its behalf, all in the United States: Vercel (hosting the website), Supabase (sign-in and the database), and Amazon Web Services (storing and converting audio files). Sign-in uses Google. Data is encrypted in transit, and audio files are encrypted at rest.

Deleting your data

Any member of a space can delete a file from it, which removes the file and its converted copies permanently. To have your account and everything about you removed, ask the person who invited you, or the person who runs Bounce, and it will be deleted.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page will change too.
